    Indications/Description:

Entrophen® 325 mg is for effective relief of headaches, fever, the pain and discomfort of colds and flu, pain of inflammation, arthritic or rheumatic pain, minor aches and pain, pain due to muscle sprains and strains, joint and body pain, pain of menstrual cramps, toothache and pain of dental work or intervention.

Entrophen® 325 mg is also for doctor-supervised long-term preventive therapy.

Entrophen® 325 mg has a special enteric coating that helps to prevent stomach upset. The special enteric coating of enables the tablet or caplet to pass, undissolved, through the acidic stomach and enter the upper portion of the small intestine, a less acidic environment. It is then that the tablet or caplet is dissolved, thus it is less likely to cause stomach irritation that is sometimes associated with plain or buffered ASA.

Because Entrophen® Coated Tablets and Caplets are specially coated to reduce the risk of stomach upset, the ASA is not absorbed by the stomach and the onset of action will be somewhat delayed.

    Dosage:

Adults: For pain and fever: 1 or 2 tablets/caplets every 4 hours, as required. DO NOT EXCEED 12 tablets per day.
For supervised long-term preventative therapy: 1 tablet/caplet daily or as directed by a physician.

    Directions for Use/Administration:

Entrophen® 325 mg tablets/caplets must be swallowed whole, with a large glass of water (250 mL); do not crush or break up. It is hazardous to exceed the maximum recommended dose unless advised by your doctor. If these doses do not bring relief of pain or fever, or fever lasts beyond 3 days or pain lasts beyond 5 days, consult a doctor.
